Dorian J. Tyus came to the firm with experience in appellate law, nonprofit management, and developing business enterprises. Prior to joining the Allen Law Group, Mr. Tyus served as a Vice President at a Detroit-based nonprofit. Mr. Tyus has vast experience assisting business organizations explore relationships with MBEs and WBEs for specific business opportunities. In addition, Mr. Tyus has expertise in assisting organizations through the process of MBE and WBE certification, including: certification requirements, navigating unique joint venture requirements, and preparing and reviewing applications and supporting materials. Mr. Tyus also served as a research attorney at the Michigan Court of Appeals (Detroit).

Since joining the firm, Mr. Tyus has expanded his practice to include labor and employment, education law, real estate transactions, and commercial and civil litigation.

Mr. Tyus graduated from Howard University School of Law, where he was a recipient of a number of academic awards. Mr. Tyus was also a member of the Trial Advocacy Team, Howard University Criminal Justice Clinic, and FINRA Investor Justice Clinic. Mr. Tyus is also a proud graduate of the University of Michigan- Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
