From 2016 to 2019, ALG partnered with a large Michigan City to provide strategic advice and guidance in support of the City's restructuring efforts for the City’s Finance Department. ALG played a critical role in modernizing financial operations, improving efficiency, and ensuring long-term fiscal stability.

Our key contributions included:

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Modernization – Advising on the replacement of outdated ERP systems to enhance financial management and reporting.
  • Finance Operations Restructuring – Overhauling finance-related functions, including procurement, to improve functionality and efficiency.
  • End-to-End Project Involvement – Providing support from initial planning and development through successful implementation.

The success of this initiative was instrumental in the City’s ability to emerge from bankruptcy, ensuring a more sustainable and transparent financial future for the City.
